ABOUT ARCHIMEDES
Our mission is to empower students to become confident, independent learners and problem solvers by providing engaging instruction in STEM and the humanities—online or in-person—with a team of passionate educators committed to building strong foundations for lifelong success.

WHAT
WE TEACH
At Archimedes School, we offer instruction in mathematics, science, computer programming, engineering, English, and social sciences. We also provide comprehensive test preparation for placement exams including the ACT, SAT, AP, ISEE, and SSAT.
We believe that a strong foundation in both STEM and Verbal instruction equips students with the skills to make meaningful connections, generalize concepts, and approach challenges across all fields of study and future careers.

WHO WE ARE
We are a team of dedicated educators, each specializing in specific subject areas, united by a shared passion for teaching and learning. At Archimedes School, we strive to make every subject—especially math and science—both enjoyable and meaningful. By fostering supportive, engaging learning environments, we help students build confidence, curiosity, and strong academic foundations.

WHERE
WE TEACH
We offer both in-person and online classes to meet the diverse needs of our students. Our in-person sessions are held at our Redmond center, located at:

WE DIFFER FROM OTHER COMPANIES
-
Every student learns differently: We tailor our approach to match each student’s unique learning style. Our tutors observe how students think and either enhance their existing methods or introduce new strategies that resonate with them.
-
Deep conceptual understanding: Rather than emphasizing rote memorization or procedural tricks, we focus on helping students truly understand why concepts work. This encourages long-term retention, critical thinking, and intellectual curiosity.
-
Curriculum alignment: For school support, we strictly follow each student’s existing school curriculum. For enrichment or competition prep, we draw from a proprietary library of materials and past contest problems.
-
Evolving, experience-based materials: Over 15 years, we’ve built and refined our own curriculum based on real-world classroom experience and student feedback, ensuring that our materials stay relevant and effective.
-
Tutor-supported success: We believe that when tutors are empowered and supported, students benefit the most. Our goal is to create an environment where tutors can focus entirely on delivering high-quality, impactful instruction.
