SUNGJIN'S EXPERIENCES​

• Always had a passion for teaching others since high school

• Started teaching SAT prep as a university student 

• Assisted in Luminescence Research and mentioned in publications at the University of Washington, Seattle

• Currently on track for a masters in Physics at the University of Washington with honors

WHY SUNGJIN TEACHES

Sungjin believes that “Where there is a will, there is a way,” and he works to ensure each student discovers not just the path to their goals, but the excitement of the journey itself.

 

For Sungjin, teaching is more than sharing knowledge—it’s guiding students to see the bigger picture, to connect the dots between concepts, and to build the confidence to tackle challenges head-on. Whether it’s walking through the elegance of a physics proof or breaking down the strategy behind an SAT problem, Sungjin thrives on helping students turn confusion into clarity. Now pursuing a master’s in Physics at the University of Washington, Sungjin continues to deepen his expertise, bringing both fresh insight and enthusiasm into every lesson. ​

FUN FACT ABOUT SUNGJIN

Sungjin was a wedding DJ during college working weekends and his favorite song is I Want It That Way by the Backstreet Boys.

 

He plays Baduk(Go) at the Seattle Go Center when he has free time.
