How Archimedes School collects, uses, and protects the information of students and families.

Archimedes School ("we," "us," "our") respects the privacy of our students and families. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to schoolarchimedes.com and to the in-person and online tutoring services we provide.

Who we are

Archimedes School operates a tutoring and test prep center for students in grades 5 through 12 at 7901 168th Ave NE, Suite 200, Redmond, WA 98052. You can reach us at 425-272-5966 or contact@schoolarchimedes.com.

Information we collect

We collect information that helps us teach your student and run our programs. This includes:

  • Contact information: parent or guardian name, student name, email address, and phone number.
  • Academic information: grade level, current courses, target test dates, diagnostic results, homework, and progress notes.
  • Scheduling information: session times, attendance, and rescheduling requests.
  • Payment information: billing name, address, and the records needed to process tuition. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
  • Communications: messages you send us through our contact form, email, text, or phone.
  • Online session data: when classes meet on Zoom or Microsoft Teams, those platforms process audio and video under their own privacy terms.
  • Website usage: standard server logs and analytics about how visitors use the site (pages viewed, browser type, approximate location based on IP address).

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Schedule and deliver tutoring sessions and test prep programs.
  • Communicate with parents and guardians about scheduling, progress, billing, and important updates.
  • Improve our curriculum, our teachers, and the overall experience.
  • Comply with our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal information.

Children's privacy

Our programs serve students in 5th grade through 12th grade. We do not enroll students younger than 5th grade. For students under 13, we collect information only with verifiable parental consent, in line with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Parents may review, correct, or request deletion of their child's information at any time by contacting us.

Third parties we work with

We use a small set of trusted service providers to operate our school. Each has its own privacy policy.

  • Jotform and Google Forms: program registration.
  • Zoom and Microsoft Teams: live online classes.
  • Vercel: website hosting.
  • Meta (Facebook) Pixel: advertising measurement and conversion tracking.
  • Google Analytics (if enabled): website usage measurement.
  • Email and accounting providers used to communicate with families and process tuition.

We share information with these providers only as needed to deliver our services.

Cookies and analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences and measure usage. You can disable cookies in your browser; doing so may affect site functionality.

How long we keep information

We keep student and family information for as long as your student is enrolled, and for a reasonable period after to support continued tutoring, recordkeeping, and legal obligations. You may request deletion at any time, subject to those legal requirements.

Your rights

You may request to:

  • Review the information we have about you and your student.
  • Correct or update that information.
  • Delete information that we are not required to keep.
  • Opt out of non-essential communications.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information from unauthorized access, but no method of internet transmission is fully secure. Please use good password hygiene and let us know immediately if you believe your account has been compromised.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our programs and the law evolve. The effective date at the top will reflect when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated to enrolled families.
