“Mathematics reveals its secrets only to those who approach it with pure love, for its own beauty” – Archimedes
From an early age, I have been deeply drawn to the natural sciences, with mathematics holding a special place in my heart. As a student with a passion for problem-solving, I thrived as a member of my school’s math and physics competition teams.
Encouraged by my teachers, I applied to and was accepted into one of the most prestigious high schools in the former Yugoslavia – the Mathematical Gymnasium. This institution fostered my love for mathematics and physics and prepared me for the next chapter of my academic journey. Following this path, I attended the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Belgrade, where I earned an MS degree in Applied Physics, further strengthening my analytical and problem-solving skills.
While pursuing my academic goals, I discovered another passion: teaching. I began tutoring with the firm belief that mathematics can be accessible to every student when presented in a way that aligns with their individual thinking style. I am driven by the idea that anyone can grasp complex concepts through the right approach.
After relocating to the United States with my family, I continued to nurture this passion, working with my children and their peers to help them dive deeper into mathematical concepts. Witnessing their progress, as they began to apply logic to real-world problems while enjoying the process, has been an incredibly rewarding experience.
This success has inspired me to expand my reach and share my love for mathematics at the Archimedes School, where I aim to ignite a passion for problem-solving in young students. By developing their critical reasoning and analytical skills, I hope to foster not only their confidence but also their motivation to explore the beauty of math in all its forms.
